    I got my steering wheel control module in the mail.. and im stumped. i dont understand the instructions at all. has anyone done this? i cant figure out any of it. so if anyone has done this, and remembers how that would be awesome. thanks in advance,

    if u can take pics of the module that would help, or give a link to which one you bought

    yeah it ties into the wiring harness, then uses a RF transmitter aimed at the headunit to allow the steering wheel controls to work.. ive contemplated it.. unsure still.

    its really not getto at all its very clean and probbly my favorite install yet. you need to get on their website and find the wire that you need to tap into to get the signal from the stering weel. it is only one wire I think it may be orange but im not sure and I do not want to tell you wrong so look that up. once you have tapped into that you need to hook up pos and ground etc.. once you have that done you need to program it. get a remote for your cd player and follow the instructions that came with it. I put the infered sending "eye" up where your sun roof etc. is. let me know if you have other problems.

    I believe if you own an alpine the PAC harness plugs into the backside of the deck. So it doesn't have to use RF for all head units. I'm sure it's dependent on model # but the 9887 will do the direct plug interface.
