I have an amp/subs from my old car yet and was wondering if I can wire it up to the stock HU. Is a high level input possible on this car? Run it off the back speakers? The stock headunit doesn't really bother me so I'm fine with it.

Yeah, take the signal and if your amps have hi level in, plug it in. If not, get LOC. No complexities there minus having a LPF on your amp.

Just splice off the rear speakers right? My MTX amp does have a high level input, I just lost the plug and need to buy a new one.

Another quick question, what should I do with the REM wire? I really don't feel like wiring up a switch so could I just splice it off the speaker wire also so when there is power going to the speakers it triggers the REM and amp turns on? Not sure if that will work or not

Any ideas on what to do with REM if I don't want to wire up a switch for amp? Can I just splice it off a speaker wire or something?

No the second part. The REM needs roughly a 12 V signal so find a line in your trunk that has 12V when the car is on, and nothing when its off.

I have been looking around on the internet and one place said to run it to the fusebox and find a fuse that turns on with the keys (like windshield wipers). How would I attach it to the fuse though?

if you go to an auto store, they should have something called "add a circuit" which basically is a thing that goes into a fuse that allows you to put the old fuse back in, and add a new fuse and positive 12V line.

Well I called MTX and they said that the high level inputs will tell the amp to turn on. Thanks for the help though

As long as they say their amp can handle the voltage. I wouldn't do it, not worth the risk lol.

Wait, if its a stock HU, then yeah, it'd be fine. They only put out at most 14 V or so.
