Does the key for a 2000 Grand Prix have a chip or anything in it? I'm wondering if I can get a copy since I only have one. Also, my brother in law got rid of his Chevy Blazer but still has a key with the remote, anyway I can get the remote programmed for my car???

Yes, go to the dealer and see what the cost is to get a blank. It says in the manual, talks about "Pass-key 3" so in case your car might not have it, check the key right by the grip. On one side it will say "PK3" if its got the chip.

    Also ask the dealer.

You need a key with a chip, anyone can cut it, and you can program it yourself. You just need the blank with the chip.
