Good choice! Install is easy so it shouldn't be too bad. We'll still be here to help.

    thanks lol

The guy at BB i swear is mentally challenged. He said that the deck (the non excelon series) I was messing with was extremely complicated. I felt like punching him.

It seems rather user friendly...just want to mess with my own settings when I get mine...but I think I'll like it.

How much wiring and stuff will I have to do? I haven't done anything electrical before. Will there be like splicing and such that I have to do or what? And how will I need to run the USB connection underneath?

You've gotta splice the wiring harness adapter for the car to the decks harness. Its not difficult and doesn't need to be done in the car or even with the deck attached.

USB cable can be fished through on the right side of the ashtray. If you just stick your hand in the hole where the deck is supposed to be when you have it out, you'll find a spot towards the front of the cavity on the right side and the USB cable should fit right through there.

I've been to a store pretty much like BB but with employees on comission... they car audio guy didn't know a thing. He'd say, "i've had this and that" so I asked, what do you have now, "I don't have a car". Thats like working at a car parts store yet never working on cars or owning one.

right. 3 of em just came up and I asked little simple questions which I later found answers to just by messing with it. And they all say "oh that's a complicated deck" or "the manual on that is THIS thick!" or "I haven't read into it yet"

    Losers.

anyways....easy cheap way to splice? I'm gonna need a wire stripper...and a way to connect them together with no solder....I don't have that many tools. Anytime I work on things it's at my buddy's place...but I want to do this myself.

There are small plastic splicers that look like this:

Those make for an easy splice.

I don't know about the BB's in the states but here they're not on commission so they don't really "feel" motivated to know their product.
