So I always see the benz's lights turn on automatically when they are engulfed in darkness. Does anybody know where the sensor for the automatic lights on our cars are? I have a 02 GT. I wanna make mine like the higher end cars if possible lol

lol I meant like when you go through a tunnel and the car is covered in darkness, but thanks for pointing that out, I should go play with it now or something.

lol I really have no idea, maybe turn up the sensitivity on it so it doesn't turn on 20 seconds after it gets dark. If that's even possible that is :P

not sure what u want to do. I believe our cars already have AUTOMATIC lights. If u want to "increase" sensitivity, why don't u just turn the lights on period. We still can turn them on manually whenever we want.

I thought the 97's had ridiculously sensitive lights, and they made them less sensitive in 98.

I liked the sensitivity of the GP's automatic headlights. IMO, the Benz's are almost too sensitive. They sometimes come on going under bridges, then turn off as soon as you clear the bridge (which is bad for HID's). At least I can turn them off manually, unlike the GP.

yea that's a little to sensitive but it's always sweet to see the driving lights turn on. And it's a good thing I don't have HID's to worry about

There's about a 10 second delay that way it won't turn on everytime you drive under a shadow during the day.

10 seconds? Really? What year was that on because my 02 took close to 20-30 seconds to flip on.

i was more guessing 10 seconds, because that feels right in my 06 and I know my 00 blazer was 10 seconds too. Just be glad it doesn't respond quicker because then you'd have your lights flicking on and off all the time.
