Umm... measure it? I might later when I'm going out, but measure the dimensions of the opening of the trunk.

do u think a box that is 15 3/4" tall 18" wide and 23" deep would be able to fit with out having to build it in the trunk?

I'd have to check but I'm not nearly well enough to do that right now. Do you know the dimensions of the trunk opening and the height inside the trunk?

because my gf always has my car and there is already two boxes in my trunk that take a bit of time to get out. i have to pull my amp rack, take the subs out of the boxes while in car, unbolt the boxes from each other and then pull them out one at a time. i was just trying to make life a little easier since Michigan sucks for weather and i dont have a place to do it inside.

well that makes since, i would help ya but i dont get my gp back until sunday, although i'm working on my sisters tomorrow so if i think about it i'll check, basically you need to know the depth verse the height and the biggest you could cram in there if i'm following correctly

that is the main idea. some people have told me that the 2 boxes that i am wanting in there are going to have to be built in the car and that is what i dont want to do. i would like to be able to take them out if i ever need to haul something in the trunk.
i need both the boxes to be a little over 2 cubic feet after the displacement of my 12" mtx 9500's and the wood that is needed to make the port. so what i came up with was each box being 15 1/2" tall X 18" wide X 24" deep. the port being 2 3/4" wide X 14" tall X 20 1/2" deep and a leg of 6 1/4" long?
does anyone thing that these two boxes will fit?

should be able to fit that box in there mine is about 17 tall and thats the biggest concern , might have to slide your spare tire cover out and have to shimmy it back in once you get the box in but it can be done

heres what i did in my trunk. Didn't use all the space, but i needed room for amps, purchased subs that are loud in small enclosures. 2 Optima batteries are in the spare wheel well to provide well supplied power. what are you planning on putting in? I have a friend with 4 12" ported in a GP.

Buddy... that didn't help the OP at all. You didn't even provide the measurements of your box. Again, did you try moving the subs around before you planted the amps there? If not, you could be losing out on precious SPL.

I moved them around a little, but was limited to space because i needed a place for the amps. I thought about turning them around and sealing it off (a wall facing inwards) seeing if that would help. I know i can hit louder DB ratings with them as my friend had 2 and hit 146.7. The box was built so i could be taken out of the trunk. I'll have to find my measurement papers to tell you the specifications.
