I am new to the forum and have an 06 Grand Prix GXP with the Monsoon system. I replaced the factory head unit with an Alpine unit so I could play my Ipod. This went in just fine and sounds good. Step 2 was to replace the door speakers with Infinity reference component speakers, and this came out fine as well. I purchased another set of Infinity component speakers for the back and they sound terrible. Of the 4 wires that go to the stock speakers in the bck, I hooked up 2 wires to the woofer and the other 2 to the tweeter, but the woofers clip at relative low volume. I think it is the way that the Monsoon amp is splitting the high and low frequency.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the Monsoon amp? I would like to disconnect it all together and run the back speakers right from the Alipine head unit, but am not sure which wires to use. Any help would be appreciated.
