So my aftermarket radio was taken out of my car, or rather stolen. The stock harness has 2 connectors. Ones better than the other, I'm looking to find out what the wires for the smaller connector do. I hooked up the only connector that was still there and the radio turned on and the time displayed and such but there was no sound so I'm guessing its for sound. Can anyone either get me a picture of what the harness looks like or tell me where the wires go. I'm trying to jimmy rig the thing so I can have a radio again.

Ah ok, that would make sense. From what I found the pink one is for the amp turn on. I'll see what I can do for that one.

ok here is something weird. If I just plug in the main connector the radio is on. Even with the car off. Why is that? I also have a picture of the connector thats all screwed up if you need me to post it up.

you probably have the power to a constant source instead of a switched source, which means it'll be on the entire time (and draining your battery).

Google the wiring colors, and you'll be able to figure out what each wire is. You may even get a couple of pics in the google search that'll help if you're lucky. You can also search on here too.

thats the thing as of right now its the stock main harness going into it. I don't know how this is on all the time. Thats whats weird. I'm trying to just put the factory radio back in with the factory wiring. Now the wiring is a little messed up so I'll get you a picture so I can show you whats up. As soon as I get it up I'll get a link over here for it.

Ok there it is. You can see I have the main harness but there is that random wire thats like black and white or offwhite and black. I don't know what that goes to. The other ones are from the second harness.

BTW, the reason it was on was because I had driven the car and not opened the door and plugged the radio in lol. Someone on the other forum thought of that.
