isn't it 1watt/1meter @ 2.81v?
I'm trying to learn speaker specs now. I know some manufacturer's sneak in 2watts@1meter.

Your factory speaker locations will always look stock given how they are hidden behind the door panels and rear deck cover, so no worries on messing that up :)
But you are right, you want more high end (trebble) and mid range bass for the fronts and leave the bass in the back. That way you get a nice all around sound from them.
You will probably have to do a little dremeling of the speaker holder, if they are anything like the 97-03 GPs. There will be a plastic holder that contains the factory 5in speaker. You will need to carefully dremel it out to mate with the larger 6.5in speaker, but its not a hard task to pull off and still keep things custom :)
So you dremeled the stock mounts and got 6.5's to fit ? If so do you have any pics and did you have to take the stock grills off the door panels ? My front speakers are blown again and am needing to replace them Again! FTL! DON'T BUY AUDIOBAHN they are CRAP!

At 8 Ohms yes, at four Ohms 2.81 V is two watts. V=IR which is voltage = current times resistance. Solve for I and multiply by V to get watts (Power=IV). And then you'll see that the nominal impedance makes a big difference in the actual sensitivity and # of ways you can wire the driver up to your amp(s).

Your're gonna put 8's in the front ? Sweet! Show pics on how you do it. I bet that will sound really good! I wonder if you will have to redo your door panels though ?
