Hey guys - new to the forum, I hope you can help me with this one, as I'm stumped.

Running a 98 GTP. Yesterday I made space in the passenger firewall hole so that I could run a line for a boost guage I'm getting. Everything seemed fine until today when I picked up a friend and noticed that my cabin lights wouldn't come on when she opened the door. In fact, unless you open the driver's door, none of the cabin lights come on. The DIC still displays the doors as opened, though(!). I ran through all the panels I opened up yesterday and pulled the dash so I could see if there were any shorts..but I didn't find any. Has this ever happened to any of you?

Honestly, I don't actually remember if the lights are supposed to come on when any of those doors are opened. I think they are...but my mind isn't so sure.

Someone help me not go crazy?
    Thanks.

Any door will trigger the lights... Did you check around your new hole in the firewall for any wires inside or outside of the car?

The drivers switch kick them on? Maybe just a coincidence that the switch on the passenger side went bad?

I didn't make a hole in the firewall - there's already one there from the factory. You know, the one with the big rubber plug? I didn't put any wires through it, anyway, just the vacuum line from the blower.

Anyway, I doubt it to be the switches, as what are the chances both rear doors and the passenger door switches stop working on the same day?

Odd occurrence, though; while sitting in the passenger seat with the door open cutting some wire, the lights magically turned on. I didn't do a thing. Just sat there. They appeared to have been fixed...but a few hours later, they've stopped working. I just don't get it.
