    OK another question.
I bought it used, 98 gt, and it seems like factory alarm is disabled(or doesn't exist at all)
I can't get the chime to sound when programming how the horn will sound.

The reason I suspect its disabled is that there is a red sticker saying the vehicle is equipped with remote start under the hood and thought that might bypass the security system?

How do I tell if it's bypassed or even existing?
and, if remote start IS installed, is it possible to just buy a transmitter and sync'em up?

    Thanks,

When it doesn't honk when locking its not the alarm. That is just notification options. Look in your owners manual it shows you how to change them.

    MALL PGM, right?
Yes, I know and have tried to set it but it just doesn't respond on that part. I can set delayed light and stuff but when it comes to honking when locking it just doesn't chime.

The alarm on my car was disabled when I bought it. It had an aftermarket remote start installed which was removed before I got it. The shock sensor under the dash by the steering column was missing which disabled it. I went to a junkyard and found me another one and plugged it in, alarm worked fine.

FACTORY ALARM DISARM ORANGE/BLACK (-) @ BLACK MODULE, LIGHT BLUE Plug, above DRIVERS KICK PANEL
See if you have a wire tapped into it. If not then it isnt from a remote start.
