Remote entry.

Hey all. I was wondering. Can I buy a remote entry off E-bay and get it programmed? I have a 2005 GT. The dealer said that I could not. The dealers cost is about $125. E-bay's is alot cheaper. Should I go with the dealer and be safe? Or try buying one on line? Thanks.

dealer? no.. go to a radio shop or best buy or something and have them install it. It's a pain.. but if somethings goes wrong bestbuy will replace it.

I agree, I had all my audio and remote start equipment done at circuit city by their roadshop guys when I worked there, but they're gone now so I'd go bestbuy

if you are talking about a factory installed keyless entry system, yes. Idk if you can program it yourself though, i think alot of the newer ones you have to take to the dealer to get it done, but as far as buying the remote, im sure you can. Ive always got my remotes of ebay.
