Hey everyone!

I'm brand new here, and I have a question, seeing as this is a GP forum and you're all quite experienced with the car. I'm looking at upgrading my Alternator in the car, and GM has been a pain to try and get an answer out of, in short words, no help at all!

I've been slowly upgrading my stereo in my car, I have a pioneer deck, hooked up through RCA's ran to the back connected to two Phoenix Gold Amplifiers totalling in 1800W full output power (not nearly using the full power of the amps). Everything is connected to the battery with true 1AWG Power cable with an ANL Fuse rated for 125A, and a 2farad Cap thrown in between the battery and the distro block.

I know I'm not really running a system that is really begging for an alt upgrade, but just for my own personal peace of mind, and a little "thinking to the future", I would like to upgrade the alt to something that can handle a little more (or alot more! lol). Eventually the car will be running around 3000w (total power, probably not using it all). I'm going to be setting up a rear battery

Would anyone have any links to respectable brand alternators that have good reputations that I can purchase?

It is a 2004 3.8L GT2, stock engine (no mods at all).

Also, a side problem, does anyone know where I should be looking for an ACC wire to connect my deck to in the dash? The RAP circuit cable that I purchased to install the aftermarket deck and relocate the stock deck isn't sending a signal through it's red (acc) wire, and I have it connected to the dimmer (orange/white) wire (I don't adjust my dimmer, so I just leave it at full setting all the time, Deck comes on when I turn either headlight/foglight option on, or at night when headlights come on auto).

Much would be appreciated!!!!!
