Oh most definitely do a write up on that with detailed pics. I personally dont have an iPod but I bet that will be a popular How To with all the iPod owners here.

weell, i'll be embarking on this project from the dash cubby area. was @ bestbuy, and picked up last year's ipod dock for $35 (i don't have a 3rd gen nano or ipod classic or touch, just a 5.5 gen, and also dont need remote)

just have to see how it will all fit in the dash!

    stay tuned!!!!

    hahah... nice pun, i know

hopefully when s1795so2 gets his console one written up, if i can get mine documented, we'll have a few slick options!

hmmm i hit a small snag in my plans

i was hoping to use the ipod dock, and plug the alpine cable for my HU into that... but the signals dont pass through properly.. the ipod isnt recognized when plugged in through the dock. suppose i could permanently incorporate the ipod cable, just didnt want to do that. but may need to...

what are you comin up with steve-o?

Well since I only use 1 one of my cup holders in my 04 and they are one in front of the other, I am going to fiberglass over the first one make a nice reccessed mount and backlight it w/ some plexi and have the back cupholder still be functional.

Here is one that the guy I learned a lot from did a while back, mine will look a little like this just with the plug hidden and more of a slide in mount than a cradle mount like the pics.

thats some nice work there... but yeah i do think that a slide-in type mount would work better
