Doing an SQ build in the GTP and was looking for some input on dampening material. I have used Dynamat numerous times and was wondering if anyone has used the other various brands out. Thanks for the input.

I have used rammat and I love it, coupled with the ensolite they offered its a good material for a very good price.
RAAMaudio - Quality and Value in Automotive Sound Deadening
I have also used second skin products, they are awesome but price is pretty high.
Sound Deadening Materials for Noise Reduction from Second Skin
don't forget about undercoating the bottom of the vehicle with a heavy tar like substance, good if you ever travel on gravel roads, keeps the noise of rocks hitting the metal to a bare minimum
I have heard good things about rammat. You ever used Fatmat? Seems alot of ppl are starting to use this.
Dynamat Extreme. Roughly 200 lbs. for SQL and SPL comps.
I used Dynamat extreme in me spl truck and sql honda but was looking for something a little less exspensive this time around. I might do the floor with fatmat and then the key areas with dynamat extreme.
I know a few guys who have used peel and seal (roofing stuff) and it works pretty well, they usually step up to the real stuff later after they get some sponsorships though
I tried some of that once. worked ok but fell of few months later. We eventually used 3M spray to help it hold. As far as sponsorships I want to stay in stock class so thats not an option unfortunately.
Hey folks,
Here's another vote for RaamAudio's RaamMat. Not only for a killer product, but also for A+ support. If the market's anything like it was a couple years ago, the price/performance ratio cannot be beat by the competitors.
This is my first post on this forum, btw - I've had an '06 GP for less than a week.![]()
i just bought some sound dampening from edesignaudio.com called edead 45 at 1 dollar per square foot. many compare it to dynamat but i wouldnt exactly know whats better. Never had dynamat and still need to install the edead.
