I would like to just drill into the floor of the trunk, but I'm really not sure if there would be anything in the way, or if I would damage something if I did so. Does anyone know of a good spot to drill? or how long of screws i should use? and where is the best spot to put all of this stuff?

I have a 12" sub in a 14" square box, and it is just a small 300w rockford fosgate amp, it is like 7 1/2" by 9" or something like that.

Cut a 1/8" piece of wood into a strip the size of the box and width of the trunk. Place that under the carpet and mount the box and amp through the carpet into the wood. That way no holes are drilled into the trunk. Just make sure you use proper length screws.

That's a good idea. I was thinking about using a board, but i really didn't want to carpet it and everything. I didn't even think about putting it under the carpet. Would that move too much tho? say at the track after i put a supercharger on it? lol

I basically did the same thing JCG mentioned above. I cut out several MDF boards to put on the back side of the carpet to anchor the amps to. I did however drill two screws into sheet metal to hold the MDF in place so the amps would not wobble. They are above the splash guard so I am not worried about rust or anything.

I have a new sub box, a pair dual 10" Power Akoustics inplace of the one 12" sub in the pictures below. But you can see how clean the install came out.

Before being mounted to the MDF board behind the carpet.

After placement was made and set.
