    Ok so i have the normal 3 button DIC and i see alot of ppl swapping them but one question i just cant seem to answer is if i do put in the 5 button will the gas mileage gauge work?

    no i mean the 5th button on the DIC that displays how much gas you have left on the tank

    If you're talking about average and instant mpgs and stuff, yes it will work. And your gas gauge will still work too. But the mileage will be off unless you get it reprogrammed at the dealer. And the dealer will say they can't >.>

    yes yes it will. But you need to get a temp sensor, and compass module if you want those to work. And depending on the year of DIC maybe tpms sensors

    You shouldn't need a temp sensor. My 04 already had one installed.

    They got it covered, if you need one its cost like 5 bucks and to install it you need to remove the passenger headlight. It will be located behind the front clip. Also the compass module its located on the rear deck.

    Hello, New to this forum. I have a 05 GT with the 3 button. Looking to convert to the 5 button. I see some conversions on ebay but how do you handle the milage? Dealer need to reprogram or ? Thanks I know this is a old thread.... I have been searching

    Yes, a dealer or mechanic with a tech 2 device has to program the mileage on the dic to match the mileage on your bcm.

    Did the 2008 GP base come stock with the 5 button DIC? cause my buddies '08 only had 3 but my '08 has the five buttons and the radio controls on the steering wheel unlike his...

    I'm sure they did a bunch of crazy stuff to the 08s to get rid of option parts they didn't want to have left over in the factories.
