I have a stack GTP with the factory equalizer stereo. The the LCD quit working. Can you replace these or is it a new stereo? If it is new stereo, any of you have a good used one?

geez how many threads are you starting on this subject?
If the LCD is dark either the bulb is burnt or the display itself went bad. You can't really replace just the display.
I have a stock stereo with an EQ sitting on my shelf, make an offer. Hint: I'll take $35 plus whatever it costs to ship it from Buffalo NY to CO.
plus you should post in the Wanted section.
The LCD screen where the clock is? That screen has a back light bulb that illuminates it. It probably burnt out. You can order a new one here for $20:

If you're gonna open up the radio, might as well install an AUX plug:

I picked up a bulb for one of mine at a local GM dealer. The bulb is GM/AC Delco part #16208443, cost between $8-10
Here is a pic of the bulb too.

And take a look at this post from another forum on how to replace it.---> Radio Backlight Lamp Replacement '97-'03 - Automotive Forums .com Car Chat
^^ FordMan knows of a cheaper bulb.... There ya go.
FordMan,
You have to copy/paste this link from photobucket... see red highlights below. This way your image shows up right away without us having to click on link and wait for it to load....
