    Hi Guys

New member to the forum. I'm not sure if the method for doing this varies from US to Canadian cars, but I'll ask anyways. I have a 2008 Grand Prix (not SE or GT or GXP) and I was looking to get a new key fob from amazon. They seem to be fairly cheap. I was wondering how to program the remote to work with the car?

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the input.

Other programmers may work as well but not sure.

If you already have a working key, my understanding is you don't need any type of scanner and it should take less than a minute. See the lower portion of this page about adding a key:

If you have lost all your working keys, it is a much more expensive issue to resolve.
