OK so I bought my '02 GTP about a month ago, and the driver info center was out. The previous owner said it hadn't worked for the entire year she owned the car. I figured it was probably a blown fuse.. She also told me she lost the keyless entry keyfob.
Since then I've purchased 2 different digital DIC's and they all do the same thing, which is all buttons light up except for the display. I'm not sure if the first replacement DIC worked, as it was $15 on ebay, but the other supposedly worked when it was removed from the donor car I purchased from a forum member. I find it hard to believe that each of these DIC's would have the same issue. I've shined lights at the displays, and they are not just dim, they do not function at all. I've checked the HVAC/DIC fuse, as well as fuse #29 in the underhood fuse block, and they are fine. These are the only fuses I can think of that would interact with the DIC. I didn't pull every fuse, but looking them over with a flashlight they all looked fine.
My issue with the keyless entry may or may not be related to the DIC, but I purchased replacement keyfobs from Amazon that had a ton of good reviews. However, I cannot get the car to enter program mode following the instructions provided (pull mall pgm fuse, key in acc position, etc..).
Anybody have any ideas on where I could look to solve these issues? Any fuses or common grounds these items may share? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
