^^ yea once you take the back seats off completely lift up the deck cover which is carpet, then you will see your 2 (6" X 9" Speakers). They are both in Pontiac's enclosure's which pop out from underneath in the trunk.

are these speakers making a loud weird sound when you crank the volume up? mine do that and i dont know what to do about it. its like a loud scream everytime i turn up the volume. now, if it screams like that and i cut the car off, the speakers will continue to make that noise until i cut the car completely on then i hear a small "thump'' sound and the screaming is gone. now thats just weird. it sounds liek nails on a chalk board, and with key out, door open it still does it. i have to literally start my car up. someone please help. i hate this

I am guessing aftermarket HU in your car? Easy fix!

This one photo should solve all your high pitch whinning noises. You are not getting a good grounding of your HU. Once you get the proper grounding worked out, the ret is cake.

I replaced my back speakers with junkyard speakers out of a chrysler sebring coupe and they ended up being infinity speakers from chrysler so check around when going for speakers out of a chrysler!

go to crutchfield and pick out some 6.75 inch round speakers...ask any audiophile about non round speakers and they will tell you about how junk they are...you jhust need an apapter that crutchfield gives you for free and then 6.5 or 6.75 inch speakers fit right in there and give of much cleaner sounds and better bass response

Anybody ever notice that names like Hertz, Rainbow, Seas, Morel, a/d/s/, Dynaudio, and others don't tend to make 6x9's?
