Hello all. I will be aquiring an 03 Grand Prix SE here soon. I've been around Grand Prix's a bit. My buddy had an 01 GTP. Dad has an 07 Grand prix 3.8 n/a. My buddies GTP had the Bose stereo system. The one I will be getting has the stock stereo. Can I swap a Bose into mine? I figure I should be able to considering it's the same head unit (I assume) but it has the better speakers and the amp. I would guess the security system shouldn't be an issue either. Any info would be great. Thanks.

I'll be honest, it's not worth the hassle to swap it.

You likely do not have the correct wiring harness in the SE anyway.

It's easier to just buy upgraded speakers and slap them in.

Damn. If I remember correctly the stock stereo wasn't that bad. Hit pretty good no crackle. I'm not looking to thump, just clean and crisp sound and the occasional hip hop.

Yea after changing all of the speakers, rear deck, adding the Bose amp and wiring it's just not worth it. If you want to keep the stock deck, add a 4 channel amp and replace the inside speakers. You'll be impressed with the difference. I'd really recommend replacing the stock deck though. That alone will make a world of difference in sound quality.

You can buy everything you need at Walmart and sound decent... No need to waste money on Bose replacements. Head unit, 2 pairs of speakers, and mounting kit can probably be had for $250-ish...

I've got a Pioneer DEH 64BT, the one with the usb, bluetooth, all the colors, in my Camry which I could install in it. That should do.
