Is a factory 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix AM/FM/CD radio with a Treble and Bass slide adjustment interchangeable with a factory 2003 AM/FM/CD with Equalizer? Do they both share the same wiring harness? Thanks in advance for your knowledge. Bill

I'm guessing the connectors are the same on all the 6th gens, as I've swapped between the two styles on my '99 from various years. It originally had the treb/bass, but the original owner wanted the eq, so he put an eq one in. But when I got it the eq was completely useless and the bass sounded horrible no matter how hard I tried so I found a treb/bass one out of an '02 SE, which needs most of the backlights replaced, and put it in. lol

Yeah the Bose system has pre-tuned EQ'S into the amp so it won't work with the 7 band eq unit in non-bose cars. About your only option is to install an aftermarket unit or add an aux port to the factory unit if that's what your looking for. There is a great write-up on here somewhere for that.

Hummmmm, based on that I will just continue to look for another unit just like mine. My situation is that the display window in the upper left corner has gone blank and my situation is the light bulb is soldered to a circuit board and replacing it is beyond my expertise level. Local GM dealer wants to send it off to have repaired for an amount I don't want to pay. My AM/FM/CD all work fine but I really do miss the clock. Have looked for just a clock that I can put in the car over the display window but have not found out that has a light in it for night driving.
