Or just grab one from advance and use a coupon code and pick up in store.. Bet it matches close to RA prices and no need to wait on shipping..
I feel like I preach this to much yet guys still go the RA route.

I might. Stillllll waiting on a cancellation confirmation from RA. They were having computer issues today...
I did some searching on this the other day as I've gotten the Charging system failure message on the DIC a couple times in the last few days on my base 06 daily, I recall something about checking connection running to the starter for corrossion or a loose condition.
I actually had the opposite problem with mine, volts were jumping up to 15.50 when I got the failure warning message.
Cleaned my battery terminals and the ground that runs to inner fender and still had the message pop up yesterday once.
Oddly enough I also have the same issue you spoke about the other day where the high beams will turn on when moving turn signal stalk to make a right hand turn lol
Price match! Or coupon codes. Last resort is rockauto - especially of you're not in a hurry. Just don't expect a hassle-free warranty with RA.... It gets stupid dealing with them
New alternator. One guess how the belt went back on....

Been keeping an eye on my battery voltage. It stays around 13.XX. Hrm.
Started the car this morning and got a whole litany of messages on the DIC; "Charge System Failure", "Battery Saver Active", "TCS System Off", "Service Stability System". I'd like to assume this is because it's 14* out bit then my headlights are super dim & the battery volts dropped to 9.29. Any thoughts?
Sounds like your battery has failed you
Jumped the car after work for only a few seconds and it started right up & the Voltage went up to 14.XX. I'm assuming then that the 14* weather may have been part of the problem? I had my battery checked after work & it checked out fine. Soo it's nothing or the Reman-Alternator I just put in is poo?
^ doubt he's finding a GXP in the JY! Now I'm not sure if it shares the same alt as other LS vehicles.

So far the only time I have had the "battery saver active" is when I forget to turn off my hid low beams during the day and the DRL's make them strobe.
I Assume what that means is when hid ballast are rapidly firing the car thinks it has a short. With your situation I would lean toward a short or poor connection somewhere. Ignition switch mabey?
(I was told if I ran a relay harness, my lights would not strobe out DRL style. But they do. ) :th_winking:
edit:::: Check out post #6 Easy check for you, have read about those things http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...sensor-failing
My problem is a fubared positive battery cable clamp. It can't be tightened because it's broke. I found that out last night when I got off work & not only would my car not start but not even the dome lights came on. Meh.
Grab some gold ones from autozone
mine kinda went that way too. You would tighten it up as much as you could but it would never "grab" the post. I took mine off and bent it up with some pliers.
it fits good "for now" lol
A little trick that I use at the parts store when customers are cheap as **** and don't want to spend a few bucks on new clamps is to place a paper clip in between the post and the clamp and that will help "grab" the post. Easy and free temporary solution.
I have had the same message displayed on my car. Have replaced battery and alternator. Still get the message once in a while after driving, car gets to operating temp, shut it off for a short time and then restart it. I have never had an issue with it not starting after the message is displayed or with using my remote start. Any ideas? Terminals are clean, ground wires are fine as well.
