I did a resonator delete today. i am pretty disappointed with the results, being that it sounds exactly the same as it did. After talking to the exhaust guy, he recomended some off brand flowmaster knockoffs, which I guess I don't really carte about the name on the mufflers, but I do want a particular sound... something like a vette. Not too loud but sounds like a v8. my car I came to find out already has some crappy aftermarket mufflers on it that must have been installed by a moron, because the tips stick out 1.5 inches from the bumper, not to mention about an inch low. I know people have asked similar questions, but what mufflers should I go with to get a vette type sound from an ls4?

you can forget about ever getting "that" sound. its a V6, not a v8.

put the res back on, get some borlas. pretty much your best bang for the buck.

I'm going to assume you went to mg's exhaust or exhaust pros...

Regardless, you'll never make it sound like a vette. If you want something that has a little grumble and isn't too loud just go with magnaflow mufflers.

I realize it won't really sound like a vette, I mean the intensity or volume. Nice to see someone from cloud, mg's is where I went, being that I get family discount from a friend whose shop works with mg's. If you know a better place I would gladly take your advice. I did keep the resonator in case I didn't like the sound. Which series magnaflows? I just got the car after driving an Impala SS for a few years, although I did little to tune that. I will have a CAI and overkill tune next month. Thanks to everyone for the replies.

If you want a different guy to go to, message me and I'll hook you up.

Lynn at MG's does good work, he's just expensive.

Also, these are the magnaflow mufflers I put on mine: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261063210639...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
