Im swapping my 2007 5.3 gxp engine and transmission into my 2007 impala lt this weekend i wanted to know would i need the sterring wheel for the tapshift or would i be fine without it? oh boy that is a pretty daring swap. Do you have the Service Manual access???? you are going to need it....

Personally i would grap the ECM an the TCM from the Impala SS. The GXP and the Impala are not plug and play

There arent? Being as the engines are the same the ecm and tcm wouldnt be the same for different models? Interesting
