I'm learning that......good thing its not costing me too much to keep at the moment, luckily I don't drive too far/much for work. I just wanted something different but the bf lets me drive his cars too I think I'll pay it off and keep it clean for a while and like a lot of people "its for sale for the right price..."

Built trans in mine is gonna keep it good for quite some time, mine barely has 60k on it.

And it's an '05. I know how bulletproof these LS motors are, and will disabling DoD right after buying it...I'm pretty sure with normal upkeep this thing should last quite awhile.

    Not sure yet.

Cold as hell here; haven't got it installed.

LS6 intake and trans going in at the same time, so it'll be a whole different car I'm sure.

300M input shafts, 3.69 gears, 7/8" chain, chomoly pump shaft, blahblahblah...should be good for 400~ easy.

Dave told me it'd be good for a solid amount of spray too, so up to 500HP~. I might test that, loolllll.

OOhh yeah good call on the input shaft and you got shorter gears then me too! def throw spray at it and see what it does. I noticed when I tuned it after the install and got rid of the DOD it drove so much smoother! Only thing is make sure you check the tranny fluid after a few miles after install, mine didnt want to fill up all at once...stubborn

Yeah, I do the jackstand run.

Row through the gears a few times. Drop it down, take it around the block. Bring it back. Row gears...kinda like bleeding PS fluid. Time consuming broad lol.

My wife has not blown up 07 GXP yet. Although I have to ask the odds of it happening being the fact she is a great grand mother, who has never had a ticket, not even a parking one. Although she is a good person, when I use the adjective great, I mean shes old. I could say it was driven by a little old lady to church on Sundays, except we drive my car.

The bad thing about these cars being fuel injected and and not carburetor, I don't have the excuse of taking it on the highway and blowing the soot out, like my dad use to do with my mom's 60 impala. I always made sure he took me with him.

It's the transmission you really have to worry about anyways, not the LS-based engine.

Other than tuning it to get rid of Displacement on Demand. It's horrible.

Theres alot of issues in stock form for these transmissions but im a firm believer in preventative maintenance. You get the tune. You disable tc lockul till 4th gear increase line pressure and tcc duty cycle. Get a shift kit and cooler. And you have youreself a trans that can at least go way longer.
