On my grand prix gxp I replaced the cv half shaft and the seal on both sides of my car. On the passenger side the seal was leaking prior to replacing it. I figured replacing it would fix that. Well it didn't. I am on my third seal and each one has been a different brand. I bought the one today from dealership because they swear that it will fix the leak. But I have measured the inner diameter of it and its the exact same as the other ones. Anyone have any ideas as to why it would be leaking tranny fluid at that seal?

I'd think the dealer seal would have fixed. it. Take a read on this.

that does answer my question very well actually. I have been searching the internet and websites now all weekend and could not find this article. I have that new seal with the little not saying it replaces the original seal and it does differ slightly. I am going to replace that over thanksgiving and see if that fixes my problem.

Just turn the radio up...it'll either fix an issue or be nice and loud when you crash.

It should. I'm really disappointed in GM and the local dealership here. They've done nothing but screw me every way possible

At least you were working with trans fluid ....it's a decent lubricant.
