Cylinders should start on teh driver side front as 1, 2 is passenger side front. Going in that order, the back one on the driverside should be #7
Your coils should be mounted on top of the valve cover IIRC and therefore it's easy..I think it's unplug the harness to pack and pack from plug wire, then it's likely two 10mm bolts.
In case i'm wrong.. please know..I totally shot all that from the hip.
a 8 cylinder should be
closest to the bumper, (reading from the pass side of car to the driver side) 1-3-5-7
rear of engine 2-4-6-8
your coils should be right atop the spark plugs, mounted on the valve covers.
Not forsure but check the repair manual on gpona. I've seen it one there before

OK so if its FWD you said it correctly, Bill described a longitudinal set up like a RWD. I wasn't sure if the GXP was FWD or RWD, I remembered reading that the Holden that GM built in Australia was RWD.

Yes I knew that lol. Just the way pic was. But if u rotate it clockwise then it would be right. That's the way I pictured it

Hahaha... why the heck would I think the way I did... See, it's lucky I put the disclaimer on it. Turn what I said clockwise and it'll make sense.
The coil packs for this car is expensive as f***
