No one was bashing you. We were stating the truth about this platform. The trannies are the weakest part of these cars. There is no space for a blower as well. FWD drives when you have buttloads of power. I do give you credit for making a thread that doesn't ask how to make a cold air intake or why your car runs like crap when you run 87 octane fuel.

lol true true. what do u think it would be best for me to do. because my car as it sits......90k miles.....k&n intake.......straight piped. i want to do doug throley headers, ls6 intake manifold, hogan dp, roller rockers, and maybe a cam.......but the tranny....i dont know what i have to do, or go and what all needs to be done with the tranny??

What I would suggest first save up enough money for a built tranny. Triple Edge Performance - Home Page builds excellent trannies for whatever application. After you can afford that, do the headers, intake manifold, and a cam. Do the upgrades and run it till the tranny lets go, and put in the built tranny. Or you could put the tranny in first, but the tranny is going to be your number one priority. Another thought is that the headers and cam would take up a decent chunk of money as well. It might just be best to go the turbo route because your going to get the most power to money out of it.

The worst part about the GXPs are the aftermarket is scarce, and stupidly priced.

For 6500 bones and if you play your cards right you can have a RWD Fox or LSx car running well into the 9's or 10's.

FWD is lame, and it shows especially in the LS4 cars...the aftermarket is sketchy...and to make the power you want, the LS4 is just a PITA.
now is there any other place or anything else for the tranny that is cheaper?? and trust me i would LOVE to get that turbo kit. its just i work part time...then full time student lol

Tim King is also a reputable 4T65E guy. But I would say his prices are going to be comparable.

Best advice I can get you is...make the car last.

    Get out of school.

    Save some money...

After you get a baller job...then build it.

Because cheap = ghetto rigged...and that means broken. And working part time, like you even said...you won't be able to afford building it all from the ground up.

Things I do recommend for your car.

    Hogan 3" downpipe...
ZZP or Intense Poly Dog Bone Mounts
TransGo Shift Kit/Pan Drop/New Trans Filter
    Tuned PCM from someone close...

Those things alone will wake the car up immensely.

    Yes.

Because they won't do anything but HELP MPG's and INCREASE transmission life in that car.

I'd buy those in a heartbeat.

Drop the pan and put the new springs in?

It really isn't that hard...it's a bolt on part you just have to drop the pan and catch the fluid.

Don't know anything about them specifically, but I do know that a good tune from a good tuner will net you better performance out of a stock car. I've seen people with stock f-bodies pick up 10-20hp just from a tune.
