Ok ill try and make this short. About a year ago i started getting the dreaded tc/stability control lights. So i replaced both front hubs. That didnt fix it. So i drove it for a few months like that until i found a thread on here to check the yaw control sensor. I purchased a used one on ebay and installed it. That took care of that problem. But about a month later my car started driving like it was out of alignment. So i took it in and had a bad tie rod end. Got it replaced and had a 4 wheel alignment. Drove better for about a week. then the problem started getting worse. I took it to a shop and they said steering rack. So 700 bucks later and nope that wasnt it. And that included inner and outter tie rod ends. And it is getting worse. When just driving down the highway it just seems to "float" around. And when turning it seems the drivers wheel is turning in too much. But i have had the alignment checked by 3 diff shops and all say its right on.

    Had your wheels balanced recently?
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

    • 97,000 miles
    • Wheels balanced
    • Hubs replaced
    • Steering rack replacement with inner/outer tie rods
    • Wheels aligned

So, it's vibrating? Shuddering? Loose steering?
Turning on its own when you let go of the wheel?
    Is there a noise?
Is there a certain speed or RPM that it is better or worse at?

As a recommendation, I'd say to check for codes with a TechII - they can see codes that a lot of generic scanners can't. For example, the electronic brake control module, which controls Magnasteer, Stabilitrak, ABS, Traction Control, and braking stuff can throw codes, but a simpler scanner like an Aeroforce won't see it.

The steering isnt really loose. it doesnt shudder. And no major vibrations. If i let go of the steering wheel it will go straight for a bit then just jerk one way or the other. It does it more to the right. But does it both ways. And usually the only noise i get outta the front end is at low speed usually backing up while turning the wheel. I hear the abs kick on for a second. And it is pretty consistent at any speed or rpm. I think im just gonna have to break down and take it to a dealer. i really dont wanna do that. Cause it will cost too damn much. But i dont have the equipment to scan it. So what else can i do.

have you checked the lower control arms yet,(rubber bushings) well the shops should have but its worth a look.

does the abs hum stay with you or is just as you start to drive and then it stops?

how are your brakes, pedal hard or soft, does the abs feel like its kicking in under dry conditions on smooth pavement?

if one caliper is seized a little it will pull, like it will drag for a little bit and cause it to pull to one side.

when braking hard does the car pull to one side? or go nice and straight?

Im seriously thinking its the tires.. I notice my car does this too. But only with my summer tires on. they float on some roads and they are fine on other roads. My winter tires were not that bad, i think its just the responsive ness of the tires.

I figured the shop would have checked the lca's but ill give them another look. And the abs noise is just when i start usually in reverse backing outta the driveway. after that it is fine. The brakes feel good. They are not as good as they used to be. but i just need to change the pads. They are not completly worn but wouldnt hurt. And they are all worn evenly. I did check them when i checked on the new hubs. And when breaking the car stays straight.

And panther427 i do not believe it is the tires. when i had the oem tires on the car it was fine. And when i first got my toyo proxes tires it was ok. But it is just getting worse. And its not just a gentle float. It is getting to the point that i dont feel safe driving it.
