Hoping someone can offer up some advice here even though I think I know the answer. My cooling fan on the drivers side of my 07 GXP started making some awful noises about a week ago, Started as a high pitch squeeling as the car was warming up. Now it has turned into a low, deep vibrating sound. The fan is working still, but I assume soemthing is about to die? should I just go buy a new motor? Fan seems to be in tact and no damage to the blades, nor is it rubbing. I believe it's the bearing's in the motor. Also, is this something I even want to mess with myself? Doesn't look to be the easiest thing to get out and repair myself. And lastly, what kind of cost should I expect from a garage to do the work? I see motors from about $60-$80+ online. Should I just bite the bullet and buy one and again, do it myself or take it somewhere? I have no garage to do the work in either as I live in an apartment. Thanks in advance for suggestions and help with this.
