I'm curious about the turbo kit too...

But back to the origonal question isn't there a way to swap the crankshaft out of the ls4 to the ls6? I'm sure there are other differences though isn't there?

you dont need to delete the DoD there are cams out there that work with DoD. as for the turbo no it isnt a rear mount. it is a non ic setup and there is a group buy for them the more people that want them the cheaper it will be.

The question was not to replace the cam but the whole ls4 with the ls6, does the ls6 not have dod?

But i was reading the otherday that to get the ls4 to fit that GM had to take and make everything run on one accessory belt, shorten the crank and tranny mount the starter. I don't remember the website right off but if i find it again i will post it. I'm sure though to get an ls6 to fit similar things would have to be done... sounds like alot of work... i mean fun?.... But would the end result being worth the time and trouble? I'm all up for someone trying it and answering this.

i didnt think it would be worth it to do. all the time and money spent for the power you'll get out of it.

Lol I forgot to mention that i'm not doing it lmao. if i was to replace the motor with anything other than a direct replacement i personally would just do a RWD conversion.

We could use this adapter plate to adapt our 60* bellhousing to a 90*. Its just expensive and unproven for use in our engine bay. I really don't see why it wouldn't work though.
