Does anyone know if a supercharger for a trans am/firebird/camero will work on my 05 gp gxp(5.3L v8)? i have a piece broken on my intake manifold and if i can put a charger on it rather than just replace with a stock manifold i will.
thanks

Nope, and if you get it to work...good luck...let us know how that works.
The problem is that the single belt accessory drive is very different, and there is not enough room to switch drives and relocate all of the accessories. There's barely enough room to change the belt. The Cartuning turbo kit makes some serious power, and short of custom work is your best bet for forced induction.
If you don't want to put an LS4 intake on there, check out my thread about swapping an LS6 intake on. If you aren't going to cam the engine, you could probably do an LS1 swap too. Over on LS1tech several guys are also trying the swap, and they are moving the power steering pump instead of sawing off the vacuum attachments on the back of the manifold. There is also work done with a truck throttle body, but I don't think that is figured out yet.
what are the gains of an ls6 intake? link to thread?

I picked up more torque in the midrange than the top end because I'm running the stock cam still (soon to change), but I'd guess at least 20WHP. IIRC, a guy who had already swapped in a relatively mild LS6 cam dyno'd a gain of 45WHP over a ported LS4 intake manifold (fasterproms does the intake porting, and if you are interested there's 10HP there). The bigger the cam the bigger the HP bump you'll get from the swap, and the extra torque everywhere makes this a great upgrade for any combo. The only real downside is that it is a major PITA to do.
