Has anyone had to replace the front engine mount. Mine is leaking and was wondering how hard this would be to do myself. Dealer wants over $500.00 and the new mount only costs $133.00.

Well first off welcome. And i dont think anyone has replaced one. I dont think it would be all that hard with some decent hand tools, and some basic knowlege. Where are you located?

Broomfield Colorado, It doesn't look that hard but was wondering if there is anything I should watch out for when I jack up the engine.

Pretty much the same as the 3800 platform IMO...about caddy corner to the oil filter from the pics I am looking at. Just jack it up, loosen the nuts on bottom and use a motor jack to jack up the motor a little...be sure to remove the dog bone up top before all of this. Then slowly jack up the motor making sure nothing is being disrupted up top such as wires/sensor/etc...it should slide out of the 2 holes where the studs sat in, then undo the 2 nuts on the top of the mount and it'll come off of the mount bracket...bolt the new one on...and here is the trick...have someone lower the jack while you guide it in...then reverse process. Hope you get it done man...then go spend the 400 bones you saved on a exhaust system or cold air intake
