    Hello all,

I know there's been some threads on the CAI issue for the GXP. Couple of questions:

Does a custom CAI 'void' the factory warranty?

Is there any value to one of these intakes I see on Ebay form this 'Chrome Intakes' or 'Insys'?:

eBay Store - ChromeIntakes Store Air intake System Kit: Pontiac Grand Prix MONTE CARLO Z34 Alero Grand Am Malibu
eBay Store - cold air intake kit: air induction system, genuine k n air filter, cleaning recharger kit

These are much cheaper than the K & N...

I know people have suggested to make your own, but I figure, for anywhere from $50 - $100 with shipping that may be a way to go.

I'm definitely concerned with the warranty issue. Thoughts?

THey have to prove that your intake caused your part to fail. u could always swap intakes when going into the shop for service.

Swap stock parts for modified parts when you're taking the car back in for a warranty job. For the LS4...I'd rather get a K&N and spend the money than one of those crappy things from fleabay IMO.

Thanks guys. I was kinda thinking that same thing about the warranty issue as well. I wasn't real thrilled with the Ebay stuff, but thought I'd ask for a couple opinions.

i gotta tell ya, i have the knn $300 intake and its worth every penny, its the right set up, it assures 12-14 WHP on dyno, and ive easily picked up 3 mpg better on gas, plus its loud and looks stock under the hood. IMO worth it-do it right the first time-

It's a good product, but you paid $150 to have the k&n logo on it.
Check out zzp, or make your own.
