Changing your MAF out will do nothing good. There is no reason to change your maf out at all on any car. As long as your not outflowing your stock one. Which you are not.

Aftermarket MAF's can not be just stuck on the engine without you retuning the PCM to compensate for the altered air flow.

The PCM does not adjust. Your fuel trims will be off until they are changed in the PCM's MAF Vs Frequency table (MAF tune)

The less restricted air may be what your after. But the MAF is not restrictive to begin with enless you have a lot of power going to the wheels.

But then again i'm not really sure the size of the MAF on the ls4's let alone the size of the intake manifold opening.

Could you provide those specs for me?

If that's all your looking for is increased airflow and you do actually need it then that's fine. But for some reason some people think putting a different MAF on gives them extra power in other ways. Like it's a tune or something lol.

i cant get those specs at the moment as im nowhere near my car

the stock MAF in my car has the honey comb screen which to me appears to be very restrictive!!!! the JET MAF has a few wires in place if the screen appearing less restrictive......also Jet claims that no other mods need be done to the vehicle such as PCM tune.....

DO NOT REPLACE YOUR MAF. THE STOCK MAF IS EASILY GOOD TO 500HP. The screen does not hurt hp at all. Its there to smooth out air flow to allow the MAF to get correct readings. Aftermarket MAF's are NOT worth the money. And most of the time they are a ***** to tune.

The Screen is not restrictive at all as already stated. IF the MAF is bigger. Or even smaller. It's going to change how the airflow is read through it. Bigger MAF = slower moving air. Smaller MAF = faster moving air.

Jet would be incorrect when they say there is no need for a tune. You may not HAVE to have one. But it is going to chane a lot of stuff up. In a bad way.
