As much as I hate to say it one of clubgp's members did a really detailed write up on this, if I recall correctly.
I say do it! I want to do this, but I have to get my 97-03 car first.

yeah, it would be for a coolness factor and that is pretty much it, you could build a 3800 motor for prolly about the same as buying the ls4 complete engine and trans and all parts to swap it.

I would like to see a pregen with the GXP setup... but overall the GXP sits to be the nicest riding Grand Prix made.... The ride, the interior, the quickness, the sound... its endless. I have magnaflow exhaust with the K&N intake, which was how I got it from the dealership! Turbo... Wouldnt even want to do that with the trans in these cars... otherwise the LS6 cam swap with 1.8 rockers seems to be a sick setup. Cant want to hear more plans from you guys here.

I've got a 07 GXP, 12/08/08 after my 2000 GTP got totaled I got to admit I wasn't sure about it I was looking for another GTP, I had a lot done to my GTP, but I came across the GXP and thought that was pretty damn cool. So I guess I will be startin' over.

I must have missed the article on the rareity of the 07 GXP, I've got an 07 that's midnight mettalic blue, with a production date in january, I've been wondering about how many 07's were produced in this color, I only know of 2 other people with the same color on other sites, it's gotta be rare
67 Firebird, to many mods to list,98 GP GT,custome STB"S K&N CAI,07 GP GXP flips moded STB's with don's brackets, cai from cold air inductions, magnaflow cat back system, 35% tint all the way around

I was looking at a wet system for the car, but now work is bad so I may have to hold off for a bit. The iat relocate is where you move the iat sender from the tb and I put it farther down the air intake to cut down the false readings from the heat off the cross over. The iat is also a faster reading one then stock, so it helps keep my timing up.
