Just wondering what kind of mufflers anyone can point out to me that do sound good. Not looking for a whole exhaust kit yet.

Borla XR1's sound great! give it a low rumble with still very little droan. Flowmasters.... I would steer away from as they are loud inside the cab.

I'm new here, but I've been reading the same thing. Not specifically the XR-1's but Borla in general. Spend some time with google video search and you can come up with a lot of Grand Prix exhaust video clips.

I had Flowmaster delta series 40's with custome tips on my 06 GXP and they were definatly loud, with a slight drone at certain speeds, as for my 07 GXP, I opted for the Magnaflow catback system, It produces deep sound, loud, but not too loud, just right for my taste, and there is very little drone compared to the flowmasters
67 Firebird, to many mods to list,98 GP GT,custome STB"S K&N CAI,07 GP GXP flips moded STB's with don's brackets, cai from cold air inductions, magnaflow cat back system, 35% tint all the way around

summit or jegs have always been good to me. You'll need a "universal" fit Borla with the correct diameter tubing (I don't know what it is).
