I have turned it off but it still comes on if i go around a corner and floor it in an attempt to spin the wheels. It just cuts out. Any way to completely disable

I believe the only to completely disable any type of traction control is via tuning software. Or have a custom PCM done for you with that stuff disables.

I wouldn't recommend trying to spin the tires while turning.....your differential will begin to hate you for it and eventually say "Screw This!! I Quit!!"

Why not just make a V6 faster?

I've got the same thing....as long as you're not surprised when it happens.

I don't try to light them up while turning, but I do the occassional small burn out figuring that if the tranny is going to go in the damn thing let it happen while I'm under warranty.

Ya im kinda worried about mine. i have randomly look at the tranny temp in the DIC and it has been up to 240 a couple times. Its usually like 180 or so. Stabilitrack just bugs me because it will just start to break loose and so i back out then the car backs out with the computer programming and it just sucks because if u are trying to hurry you loose momentum. I wanna take this car to an scca event or track event

I don't thinks it's the traction control that is turning on, I think it's the differential protection, but I'm not in your car. Do you see traction control on the HUD?

The differential protection comes from the TCM and tells the engine to make less torque. Traction control comes from the EBCM (ABS module) and uses the brakes and commands the engine to make less torque, but not as much as diff protection. The brakes do a lot of the work to keep the torque going to the wheel that still has traction. That's why if you floor it you feel the wheel turning back and forth. It's the brakes trading sides. If you just feel the power drop and then engine fall on its face, than it is definately diff protection. Also, did you turn off stability control too? ESC can use the brakes too if the direction the steering wheel is pointing and what the car is doing don't agree. If you already know this than just ignore, but if you hold the traction control button down it will turn off ESC too. I've never had either activate when they were off, but I was only out around 0.83g's. Back when it was warm, and I had the stock tires, that is.

Ya u have to hold the TC button down for more than 5 seconds to turn off the ESC/stabilitrak. I think its more the Tourque mng in the computer. But in a straight line u can do a burnout as long as possible. well what im talkingabout though is like a short sweeper or like turing onto the road from a driveway and u floor it and of course your gonna spin well it stills cuts out.

Panther, think there's something wrong with it cause when I switch mine off I can burn out without the brakes coming on.

Didn't know I could turn off the ESC though by holding down the TC button for 5 seconds, sweet, wonder how this will make a diffrence.

Any other tricks you know about for the 07 GXP?

I held it down for 5 seconds or more today and didn't see anything come on the HUD ecept for the TC switching off, but then again I didn't try to make the ESC come on either by driving irratic, I guess I just expected a bleep or something to come up on the HUD. Oh well!

i dont think holding it down for 5 seconds turns it off. i had some spliced wires to the abs sensor and it would cut off my abs, tc, and stabiltrac. that all shows up on my dic. if i hold it down only tc shows up on the dic and its still in effect. so i dont think your really turning it off

Probally didn't hold it down long enough. Its kinda touchy. I have had to do it more than once a couple times. Just give it a little longer. It should say in the DIC Traction Control off, then a second or so later Stability Control off. It actually tells you that u can do this in the owners manuel
