I am looking for a cold air intake for my 5.3 GXP. Trying to save a little money is all.

CAI Inductions is the best intake you're going to find for the money. K&N and whatever else isn't sealed off; and they're about $50 more. The inductions intake runs about 270-290. I had it on mine and it was great. The real restriction in the GXP is the downpipe and lack of transmission cooler; if you haven't addressed that yet...do that first. Otherwise, you can just put a smooth elbow inbetween the factory airbox and throttle body and put a high flow drop-in filter in there. If you're basically stock it'll help on the cheap.

FYI, your car has a CAI from the factory.

In case you didn't know, resonator delete is not going to help with performance.

Leave the resonator; if you're looking for more noise just hack off the mufflers.

The resonator, even with the V8; controls quite a bit of LS rasp.
