So I've been looking for struts for the GXP for a while now and I've been having no luck. I've seen in other forums that some people will use the blisteins from the GXP on their impalas. I found that the kyb SR4089 fits 18' wheels on the impala. So would they fit on the Grand Prix as well? Seeing that the Blisteins fit on the impalas, their struts should fit our cars too right ? Or am I way off? Thanks in advance

It doesn't have the sway bar endlink ear on the strut.

You could use it if you would get a new sway bar and control arms with the tab. So yeah they work, just not in GXP stock form.

They'll fit fine if you don't care about the sway bar and you have a cutting wheel where you can hack off the sway bar mount; or spend way more money and get the entire suspension setup for your standard WBody.

    OR.

    Buy the bilstiens.

You can get them again online, apparently.

they are cheaper than that, but not by much, I saw them for like 250, either on amazon or rockauto, don't remember for sure. if I ever have to change the struts in my GXP, I might just get the coilovers for 1000 because the oem bilsteins are going to run almost that much after everything is said and done.

    Oh well.

Reason 4,765.3 I sold my GXP and bought a Vette.

    Alternator: expensive
    Suspension: expensive
PITA motor to work on: got tired of that
    Slowest LS in history: bye
Spent $$$ on a TEP trans all done up with bolt-ons, E85, and drag radials, and the car barely outran a stalled, full exhaust, catfish.

    So glad I ditched it.

The only thing I liked was the seats.

28, poor, doesn't own an SUV (although a TBSS or SRT8 1st gen Jeep would be cool to have sitting around), hates motorcycles.

    Guess not.

Can't drive a FWD automatic car.

    lol, k.

Funny thing is, all that work you've got in it and it's still a WBody and I'm sure this guy who can't drive would mudstomp that little thing.

Don't be all salty because I'm right.

    .
Are you posting pics of this Corvette owned by this 28 year old panhandler?

Back on track the FE3s sport suspension from the 04-05 cars would be a good option.
Unless your initial question was in reference to a quikstrut like the part number you posted.( which wont work for you)

Quikstruts are a whole different kind of thing when you are talking struts.

Bilsteins are nice but pricey. Just recently the fronts went over 300 each. When I bought my yellow rears they were 185 each and the rears were 216 each. That was a few months ago.
The Bilstein front dropped from 316 to 292 ( Amazon recent prices).

The BC racing coilovers from ZZP are a 1000 for the whole dealyho and they work on our GP bastard setup(sway bar endlinks to strut tabs).

    Hope this helps.

I just want to see this Corvette someone has been bragging about.
