when I accelerate in my GXP from a stop, I can feel something loose. at first I thought it was an engine or trans mount, but now that I have been paying more attention, I'm wondering if the transmission is slightly hesitating.

it could be nothing at all except that I'm used to my 2001 and the rapid throttle response and all the poly engine/trans mounts.

    what do you guys think?

Does it act the same while using Tapshift?

It doesn't really Rev up or clunk, it just feels like a worn mount or a slight hesitation. I put it in tapshift and didn't feel it, but I couldn't duplicate the conditions I felt it before

If it is the transmission hesitating, it usually does it less in Tapshift mode. Something to monitor I guess. A poly top mount or flipped factory mount may help in the diagnostics if you have not done that mod yet.

It may be the "nut loose behind the wheel"....LOL

On a serious note, I had a shop press in the Moog lower control arm bushings and one worked its way loose. With the bushing out of the hole it was allowing the control arm to move around the front mount bolt. It would make a loud clunk on acceleration or braking but not every time, the attitude of the pavement had to be right so that it unloaded the RF wheel and allowed the control arm to shift. Spot welded it back in, all is good. May not be your specific problem but I would check all front suspension bushings first.

I think my next paycheck will go towards a poly trans and a new engine mount from X11 nut

Definitely check the sway bar endlinks, but you will usually hear a clunk with those.
