The TB should still move without it running.
It needs to be able to move because any DBW throttle will allow you to fully press down the pedal to open the blade in case the engine floods with fuel. Pressing it all the way down will stop the ignition system from firing and starting the engine as you clear it out.
Like Scotty said, get a reader to see what is causing the REP mode and plug the MAF back in.
If you didn't tune out dod prior to this and left the vlom unplugged it's not going to run. Try unplugging the brake booster pressure sensor. Which will disable dod till you can get a tune. For The rest sounds like you just have a weak battery . Plug in the mad cycle the ignition and it'll clear up on it's own unless you forgot to plug everything up.
Dod was tuned out by PCM of NC. for some reason though my throttle body wont open all the way when i press the pedal. It only moves like half an inch. And i have tried wiring it up different ways that worked for other people.
did you check all your fuses? I would look at the ignition fuse and see if it's ok.
What I dont get is that when you first plug the pigtail in and cycle the key the Throttle body will open all the way and close once. But after that it wont move with the pedal or if you cycle the key. You have to keep unplugging the pigtail and plug it back in to get It to move once.
The fuse looks good. And everything is plugged in.
Here are the wiring combos ive tried and what happened with each;
LS4-LS2
---------
A-D
B-E
C-C
D-F
E-B
F-A
only moves about a half inch when you hit the pedal.
A-D
C-C
D-F
E-A
F-B
G-E
Opens once when you first cylce the key but no movement after that.
A-D
C-H
D-F
E-A
F-B
G-E
Same as the one above, opens once with key.
Throttle body is a 2005 GTO 90mm silver blade from hawksmotorsports.
theres likely a relearn procedure.
will the engine fire up yet? can take a while at idle to learn, then it might idle at 2000 rpm for a while. that the LS tb from what ive read from people cleaning them and then needed to do a relearn.
The car still wont start. It just fires every now and then. I pulled the cel codes and i have the 3 following codes
P0016
Crankshaft position/ camshaft position correlation bank 1
P0341
Camshaft position sensor a circuit
P0641
Sensor ref voltage A circuit.
Did they tune for the tb swap you Did? If they didn't you will have issues. You sure you plugged everything in and is grounded? What tb are you using?
Im sure i plugged everything in. And i told them i had an ls2 throttle body. Its from a 2005 gto. On top of it not starting it still has the reduced engine power light. And it also has all the no traction control and no stability control lights as well. Im lost.
Do u have Facebook? Talking through forums is a pita
No facebook. Im not really online much except for work and email.
Those codes kinda point to something being unplugged or damaged wires. They are all range or circuit open codes.
Unsure of why you chose to wire it up different. The writeup I provided has the correct info for e40 based pcms. Pull the battery cables off for a while hook the tb up as I described. Double check with whoever tuned it what was done. If the etc area scalar in the tune wasn't addressed in the tune it will go into rep mode passed 20 to 30 percent throttle percentage.
I started off with it wired the way you posted on your thread. And thats the way i have it now. I tried 3 other ways that people had luck with but got nothing. Im gonna go over all the wiring again and make sure its all plugged in and check for damage.
I will also call PCM of NC and see what i can find out. I might just trailer it to a shop with a dyno if i can find one nearby.
Is it possible that i need a camshaft position sensor re-learn?
No, only if it is a different pcm 9 times out of 10 your just fine even after a cam swap. Your best bet probably is the dyno though. Mail order just isn't realistic on a car that just got the mods you put on. Some pics would be nice. The more information you provide the better we can assist. In all the vehicles that have used my guide youd be the first to have this issue. The variable would be in the tune. And as I explained in the writeup if it's not tuned it will go into rep.
Is it possible that my timing is off? If you look at the pic on page 3 it shows both timing marks. I was pretty sure my timing was set right, but the 2 camshaft position codes have me worried.
