Recently my AC and heat have stopped working on my 2003 GTP. When I first turn the blower to 1, the RPMs increase slightly (as they did before when it was working) and I can hear the motor start. Within 5 seconds, the RPMs drop and nothing happens. This occurs on all 5 settings. I noticed when driving 55 MPH+, if i crack a window (aka create a pressure variance) hot or cold air (which every the thermo is set at) flows through the vents.

I have already changed the blower motor resistor with out any results. I am wondering if it is the motor itself since i have checked all the fuses and they seems to be okay. My defroster works fine, just no heat/AC.

I also live in the Detroit area and it is starting to get cold. Looking for any help I can get.

    Thanks,
    - El Ponchovilla

Unplug the motor and try applying power straight to it and see what it does.

all your parking lights work and head lights when the fan is turned on? seen one car kill the head or parking lights when the fan was turned on, forget witch ones.

ended up being the ignition harness.

I ended up buying a new m blower motor. Is an install of this time consuming and/or difficult?
When changing the resistor the hardest part was simply getting under the glovebox, since i am a 200+ pound man

Swapping the blower motor in a 97-03 is cake. Easy. If getting in there is too cramped, just take out the passenger seat first.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.
