Can I run L76 springs with a VS cam? Or is the lift on the cam too high for the springs?

I run those springs, and they are great for a rocker setup but I personally wouldn't use them on a cam Setup.

L76 springs have a max lift of .520", so technically you could run them as the VS cam has a lift of .512" but I still wouldn't. I would get some LS 90# springs or possibly even 105's to leave yourself some more headroom to shift at a higher RPM or if you ever wanted a bigger lift cam.

From further reading I think I'm going with the L76 springs. Apparently the springs are underrated and Will from Overkill actually recommends using them with a small cam such as the VS cam. I'll be getting some Viton valve seals, probably some Felpro ones, and try to go with stock L76 valve spring retainers. I hope there is enough spring clearance with the LSx style retainers. If not I might have to get the modded ones from ZZP or the Manley ones from Intense.

L76 springs are a 90# seat pressure ls style spring. They worked great in my build as well as many others. They are easy on the chain and damper too. I would rec replacing the chain and damper with new while they are out.
