    Open it up.

Either the snout bearing is siezed or the rotor pack bearing is, thus locking the rotors together.

If you are that far in there and the bearings were bad enough to lock up, it's a no brainer IMO.

Can't use WD40 on the SC. The needle bearings have a grease in them that isn't standard grease.,

Personally.. put a belt on the pulley.. then grab your three foot blue point channel locks and see if it'll move. If not.. I bet you have much bigger issues inside than a bearing. Because.....how many of us have ever seen a locked up bearing on an SC?

Then there's a chance he pulled it apart at some point.

The needle bearings in the case may have gotten messed up and one might be pinned in there and stopping the pack from turning. I'd start by seeing if they are just tight and seeing if you can turn it. Then I'd go to disassembly and inspection. There's so little to go wrong.

I'd be amazed if it was just a bearing issue. I know Jeff has worked on dozens of blowers, wonder what he thinks. Possible some shrapnel got sucked in and jammed the rotor pack in the case, maybe.

If you got it open w/o fighting at least one of those torx bolts, it's been open before. There is always one that fights

I had a locked up GEN 5, I couldnt even get the rotor pack out. After a year of sitting on the shelf I sold the snount and scrapped it.

There are a couple of notches that are between the case and rotor pack. It's meant to be pushed apart with a tool. I have a sears one that has two flat pieces and when you squeeze the handle..it pushes them apart.
