Supercharger seized up wont turn any fix?

I have seen a few of them locked up and it was a shredded coupler that was jammed up in the gears and smoked the belt. It took quite a bit of working it to get it free again. The other was the cage on a meedle bearing and I ended up pressing the bearings out with the rotor by putting the bolts back in without the snout and pressing the bearings with a piece of 1" square stock and a pair of sockets Gen 5 will be different since there's no real access to the bearings although you may be able to drill a hole and tap it 1/4-28 then install Zerk fittings and push it out using hydraulic pressure. The other one was FOD and it ingested a #10 screw (at least that's what it looked like). The Gen 5 the cartridge actually slides almost an inch into the case so they are a lot harder to get apart then a Gen 3. If you take a 3/4" dowel and pass it through to the bearing plate you may be able to knock it out enough to get at the edges. Use a plastic or wood rod to go around the case to get it out then. You will damage several pieces of wood or plastic, but better that than the case. If you try to use Aluminum, Brass or Copper it's too hard. You need something softer than the aluminum Delrin is pretty good for doing this. Just go slow and look after every hit if you get it cocked in there it will be even more difficult to get out.

Oh almost forgot the guy running a top speed run and the rotors swelled and ended up seizing to the case after he shut it down. And also saw a couple of guys that had leaking cases and the cartridge bearings seized after they ran them hard without any fluid in them. Hell take it apart and see it can't hurt. if you want I could make a cutaway model of it if all is lost. I bet I can get it apart though.

Jeff is talking about this.. However there is not really room on the Gen V. I believe you would want a blind pilot bearing puller to do the rear case bearings on a Gen V.

Tomorrow i will be by the blower to take pics been working and being daddy:) really hope to save it .. Talked to the Guy yesterday told me he hasnt done maintenance on the blower.. No new coupler... No fresh oil.. So .. He hasnt helped the situation also like to note that i saw oil dripping out of the drain hole slowly out kg the blower when i looked closely

I know the bearing is open, but is there enough room to get behind the bearing to try? I'm not looking to get the bearing out but if the seal is good then he may be able to push the bearing and shafts or just the shafts out if he can't get a dowel in there to smack it hard enough to move the rotorpack.

Jeff.. we need a picture of a Gen V upside down. I know a guy. Hang on...I'll ask him to post a pic. IIRC though there isn't room to drill/tap w/o nicking the bearing and once you pop a hole in the back of the bearing cap.. you ain't pushing nada.

I was gonna work on it but i havent had to the time to break it down that one torq bit bolt is giving me a little issues Bill though lol

take a chisel and a hammer to the side of the bolt. it will crack free.

As much as i wanted to save this blower Dont have time to tear into it and figure the loose ends but if anybody that lives in maryland area wants a Gen V to work on lmk and we can work somthing out if not i will take it to the scrapyard and and get some gas money lol
