I have a 98 GTP with 98,000 miles and I hear a rattling noise coming from the supercharger at idle. From what I searched it sounds like that's a common issue on the series II 3800 series motors. Is there a place to get an oem supercharger kit otherwise the only other thing I found were these kits on eBay.

Also how hard is it to replace? I have an uncle who can possibly do it depending on how hard it is and how much would a shop charge? Thanks

You only need the coupler and fluid, you wont need anything else.

They do just sell the coupler from eaton on ebay and the local dealership stocks the fluid. Or some ebay auctions have just the coupler and fluid.

And you will want to snag a mini bottle of anerobic sealer for when you re-install the snout back onto the superchargers case.

Ok thanks. Do you have a link? I keep coming across the same two. And is this a pretty easy job? Or would I have to take it to a professional

I've bought one of these kits before.

Otherwise I just snag the coupler itself and head to the dealer for fluid.

Same seller on ebay, good reviews.

Thanks, I'm going to order this week. I found a video on YouTube to reinstall the new coupler.

Is it worth getting a zzp one or with the eBay ones be fine?

The green ones are the best, doesnt matter if you buy through ebay or zzp.
