just driving to work and my temp gauge was fine put it in park looked away then I looked back at it, and it went from 210 passed 260 instantly. I shut off the car the gauge never went down I came out to the car on my break and the gauge is still passed 260. Any suggestions/ideas?

    Possibly a bad sending unit/sensor.

Ok. I was doing some reading. Is the one you get from advance not as good as the on you can get from GM?

Sometimes it takes a few tries to get a good one. Just take it back and try another.
